Dry weather conditions in Kullu valley has brought cheer to the tourists as they are able to see Rohtang pass even in the second week of December, which otherwise used to close for vehicular traffic at this time of season. Rohtang pass received heavy snowfall in November this year but the road was thrown open again soon. Tourists are making beeline to Rohtang pass and hundreds of tourists are reaching here every day to see the snow. As the cold has decreased melting speed of snow, Rohtang pass has some snow which is enough to entertain the tourists for few more days. Mostly honeymooners are visiting Manali these days and view from Rohtang, which is half under snow, is bringing smile on their faces. Tourists are enjoying skiing, horse riding and other snow related activities here. Couples are capturing the wonderful moments in their cameras with snow-clad Pir Panjal and CB ranges in the backdrop. All the tourists who visit Manali want to see Rohtang pass, the dream destination of all visitors. Rohtang is the only snow point of the country where tourists can find snow for the most of the months of the year. Most probably the next spell of snowfall will block road to Rohtang and tourists will be able to reach here only in next summer season. However, the prolonged dry weather of the valley has given opportunity to tourists to see snow at Rohtang pass in this season this year. Meanwhile, hundreds of local residents who rent out skis, snow dresses and snow shoes to tourists are having good time with opening of the Rohtang pass. Hundred of taxi operators are also happy as they are able to take tourists to Rohtang pass, the major tourist spot of Manali, for sightseeing.
