Mild snowfall in peaks in Kullu and Lahaul valley has brought with it fresh waves of cold on Tuesday.
Yangrang, Marval, Telangbe and other high altitude villages of Lahaul received 5 to 15cm fresh snow. Rohtang pass recorded 20cm fresh snow. Seven sister peaks, Inderasan, Deo Tibba, Hanuman Tibba and Hamta peak experienced moderate snowfall. Kullu, Manali, Mandi and lower areas received moderate showers of rain.
Minimum temperature in Keylong in last 24 hours was recorded at 3.2 degrees Celsius and it was 8.4 degrees and 4 degrees Celsius in Manali and Kalpa (Kinnaur) respectively. Ending a long dry spell at many parts of the state, the rain is believed to be panacea for fruits.
