Current Weather and Temperature in Manali Updated on January 8, 2021 The weather is clear with good sunshine. There are no chances of snowfall in the next seven days. Tourists can see snow at Solang, Kothi, Gulaba, Hamta pass and Atal Tunnel. Atal tunnel is temporarily closed for tourists as the area has received heavy snow. The temperature is again dipping sharply in the region. While minimum temperature has plunged to minus 2 to minus 3 degrees C, the maximum day temperature is 8 to 10 degrees C. Tourists can enjoy basking in the sun but still need to wear heavy woollens. Updated on January 5, 2021 Snowfall continues in Himachal hills, avalanche warning issued The parts of Himachal have continued to receive heavy snow as the state meteorological centre had issued an orange alert for heavy snowfall. The western disturbance will remain active in the state till Wednesday and is likely to bring widespread snow. Some areas in Lahaul, upper Manali, upper Shimla and Kinnaur have received good amount of snow which has blocked many roads. Traffic movement in the higher reaches has been stopped at many places while tourists are not being allowed to go beyond certain safe points. Both north and south portals of Atal tunnel have received over 30cm of snow. Kalpa in Kinnaur has received more than 20cm of snow and Khadrala in Shimla has received 15cm fresh snow. Keylong, Sissu and Kaza in Lahaul-Spiti district have received 5cm, 18cm and 7cm snow since morning. Manali town received some traces while it was over 15cm at Solang valley. The Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) has issued avalanche warning bulletin for the state along Manali-Leh axis. SASE has predicted chances of avalanches in Solang-Dhundi and Sissu-Tandi stretch and near both portals of Atal tunnel.
