After Shimla, Manali, Kasauli and Solan, Kullu will have its own mall road in a few months as nearly one-kilometer stretch of the city will be developed as a happening area to chill out for locals and to attract tourists. Like most of the towns and cities of Himachal, Kullu is becoming congested with growing population. The old markets are already crowded with no space for people to sit or stand. The moving traffic makes it difficult for people to enjoy the shopping. Also, the increasing tourist movement in the city requires authorities to develop new attractions for them. Sources said officials are mulling to develop a mall road in the city on the lines of Manali.
