Temperature across Himachal has dipped as the upper reaches of Himachal continued to receive more snow on Tuesday. The snowfall is expected to continue in the next 24 hours as the met office has issued a yellow alert for Wednesday. Higher areas of Kullu-Manali, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Chamba, Shimla and Mandi districts are receiving fresh snow. Tourists are enjoying snowfall and the cold weather of Himachal. A large number of tourists are enjoying snowfall in Manali. Entire Lahaul valley has worn a white mantle. Solang valley and Kothi have received over 10cm snow on Tuesday. Over 30cm of snow has accumulated at Gulaba and Marhi while over 60cm of thick blanket has covered Rohtang pass. South portal of Atal tunnel has received 15cm snow. Nehru Kund and Manali town also witnessed some snowflakes. Jalori pass, Kunzum pass, Baralacha pass and surrounding areas are also receiving more snow. Keylong, Koksar, Jispa, Darcha, Udaipur, Sissu and other parts of Lahaul are receiving fresh snow. Kinnaur and Spiti have also received good amount of snow. Hansa in Spiti and Kalpa in Kinnaur received 10cm snow. Upper parts of Shimla including Khadrala and Shillaro also witnessed fresh snowfall. The Manali-Leh and Manali-Rohtang pass highways are still blocked with snow. Tourists were not allowed to go to Atal tunnel and their movement were restricted to Solang valley. The snowflakes thrilled tourists from Manali town till Solang valley. Amid the fear of rising cases of Covid-19 in Himachal, the tourists are enjoying winter season in Himachal. The temperature in the state has dipped too much after three days of snowfall.
