A large number of tourists were thrilled to experience fresh snowfall at Rohtang pass, Marhi and south portal of Atal tunnel. Rohtang received light snow today (Saturday), which resulted in drop in temperature. Manali was waiting for snowfall for a long time to get relief from long prevailing dry snow and to see boost in tourist footfall. Manali town has received only a little showers. The snow at Rohtang is expected to last for only a few days. 05 November 2024: The winter season is setting in, the night temperature at Rohtang top is below freezing point. However, as the weather is completely dry, there is now snowfall so far. So, tourists cannot find snow anywhere at/near Rohtang pass, Atal tunnel or Lahaul valley. However, water sources near Rohtang pass have started to freeze.
