The 9.02 km long tunnel at altitude of 10,000ft from sea level is the longest tunnel in the world at this altitude. The surrounding is beautiful and offers snow-capped mountain views. You will traverse the tunnel.
Generally tourists prefer travelling by Volvo bus, but you have option of private taxi from Delhi. You get a private taxi that pick you up from Delhi airport/rail station, bring you to Manali and drop you off back in Delhi after sightseeing of Manali and Kullu. Brief Itinerary for 3 Nights 4 Days Manali Tour Package:-
Day 1: Delhi – Manali (Overnight)
Day 2: Manali Arrival, Hotel check-in, local sightseeing
Day 3: Atal tunnel with Solang valley. Snow Point visit will subject to availability of snow/opening of road and Rohtang pass visit will be at extra charges if road is open and permit is available online.
Day 4: Kullu-Manaikaran or Kullu – Naggar visit
Day 5: Manali – Delhi (Overnight).
Day 1: Delhi to Manali (overnight)
Board the Volvo Bus from Delhi in the evening for your overnight journey to Manali via Chandigarh, Bilaspur, Sundernagar, Mandi and Kullu. The bus will reach Manali in the morning.
Day 2: Local Sightseeing
Meal: Dinner
Our driver will pick you up from the Volvo stand and will transfer you to the hotel for check-in. After you check-into your hotel after a long hectic journey, have rest in your room for a while. Later, enjoy the local sightseeing of popular places of Manali including Hidimba Devi Temple, Club House/Old Manali, Buddhist monastery, Vashisht and natural hot water spring at Vashisht, at evening explore the local market and mall road. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.
Day 3: Solang/Atal Tunnel (snow point)
Meal: Breakfast and Dinner
After breakfast we shall move to Atal tunnel, 23km from Manali via Solang valley. The road to newly built 9.02km long Atal Tunnel is very scenic with view of hanging glacier at Dhundi. You will get to see snow covered Mt. Hanuman Tibba peak. Atal tunnel is the world’s longest highway tunnel above altitude of 10,000ft from sea level. Cross the tunnel, you will reach Lahaul valley, and return back to Solang. At Solang valley you can enjoy horse riding, gondola (ropeway), paragliding and many other adventure activities. Later return back to your hotel in Manali.
Please note that Rohtang pass remains closed in winter season and visiting Rohtang in summer times depend on availability of limited permits. If road is open and permit is available, you can visit Rohtang pass by paying extra taxi fare. Visiting Atal Tunnel will also depend on road condition, safety and instructions passed by police and administration. The road to tunnel is often closed following snowfall. Snow can restrict your movement till Solang valley, Palchan, Nehru Kund or even till Manali town.
Day 4: Kullu-Manikaran (or Naggar and Jana)
Meal: Breakfast and Dinner
Today visit Kullu, Kasol and Manikaran in the Parvati valley. While going towards Kullu, you can shop the pure Kullu shawl at the handloom factories. You can also experience River Rafting in Beas river at Kullu. Later visit Kasol and Manikaran in the Parvati valley. Return back to Manali for night stay.
Optional: If you don’t want to visit Kasol and Manikaran, you can visit historical Naggar village, erstwhile capital of Kullu state along with Roerich Art Gallery and some popular temples. Then we shall move to Jana village. Visit the small waterfall here and enjoy local cuisines. The drive to Jana is very scenic as the small road passes through dense deodar and pine forest.
Day 5: Manali-Kullu-Delhi
Meal: Breakfast
After breakfast, check-out of the hotel. Its free-time till 4pm today which you can utilise in shopping or other activity yourself or you can plan any other sightseeing by paying extra taxi fare. Your Volvo will leave Manali for Delhi in the evening. Your boarding time will be 4pm. The bus will drop you in Delhi the next morning. Your 3 nights 4 days tour package to Manali concludes here.

Where to start from. Hotel, taxi, meal, sightseeing, driver, hotel staff and the place, everything is amazing. I am writing this review from my Volvo bus back to Delhi. Our family trip ended on 6 March 2020. The unique thing about this trip was fresh snowfall at Solang valley near Manali. We wanted to visit Solang on Wednesday but the executive with Discover Leh Ladakh suggested visiting Kullu on that day and visit Solang on Thursday as there was snowfall forecast. Although my father were unhappy that they changed the itinerary at the last moment but when they asked us about our experience on Thursday, my father apologized. They did this for our better experience. This agency is reputed and run by trustworthy people who really take care of their clients. I will come back in summer season and book with them.
Just wow! Kullu Manali is more beautiful than Switzerland. I visited Switzerland last year. Its very beautiful, but most of the tourist infrastructure is man made. Unfortunately, Himachal government has not developed its tourist places. But, fortunately, our hill stations have unmatched natural beauty. We had five days off from the office and wanted to visit a hill station. We had three options — Uttarakhand, Kashmir and Himachal. We decided to go with Kullu Manali and booked 3 nights 4 days manali tour package. Everything was well managed and trip went smooth like butter. Hotel and taxi were neat and clean. Our hotel snow peak retreat had good view and the room had a big balcony. Meal was amazing. The driver was knowledgeable. We visited in the first weak of September 2023. We visited Rohtang pass, Atal tunnel and Lahaul valley. Hidimba temple, Vashisht, Old Manali, Kullu, Naggar, all places were amazing. Manali town lacks cleanliness and the roads and streets are not developed. Road is in dilapidated condition. Parking is a major problem. Our driver told us that government does not pay heed to tourism infrastructure and hoteliers and travel agents are doing their best to promote tourism in the area without govt help. We also witnessed the same. Tourists are coming here only to see natural beauty.

4 days manali package: It all started when I and my friends (Varsha, Vidu, Neha, Simu, Mohit, Vijay) were having gossips over coffee. A long weekend was just around the corner and we started talking about planning a holiday tour package to Manali. Simu wanted to visit Kashmir but others were in favour of kullu Manali.
