From the lead roles to supporting actors, most of the star cast of Sunny directed PPDKP is from Himachal, particularly from Manali. As the theme of the movie is based on adventure sports of Manali that brings Karan close to lead actress Sahher Bambba, the state is expecting a boom in the tourism industry after the release of the film.

Sunny has chosen lead actress Sahher Bambba from Himachal. However, according to Sunny, auditions for hunt for lead actress took place in many cities and he did not know that the girl belongs to Himachal until Sahher Bambba was shortlisted. The second lead role is performed by Manali girl Ritika Thakur. Kapil Negi, who runs an adventure travel company in Manali, is also in a major role who is a friend of Karan’s father and later his mentor after his father’s death. A large portion of the film is shot at Shaleen village near Manali and Sunny has given the opportunity to a large number of villagers to show their acting skills. The viewers of the movie will hear a large number of Kulluvi words for the first time in a Bollywood flick. Arijit Singh sung title track “Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas”, which has already gained huge popularity, also has words like “zaaniye” (my life) and “zuriye” (my love) taken from Kulluvi dialect.

As Karan had to perform many adventure sports activities, he had to undergo the mountaineering course in Manali. Rajeev Sharma, who retired as deputy director from Manali based Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, was given responsibility to train Karan. Rajeev trained him in mountaineering and other adventure sports activities. Mountaineer Chunni Thakur, who runs heli-skiing activities in Manali, helped sunny in performing many difficult and dangerous scenes of the movie.

Line producer and location manager for the film, Vikram Singh, said, this is for the first time that a Bollywood movie is planned, scripted and will start and end in Himachal, especially in Manali. “Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass (PPDKP) will leave viewers stunned by the unseen beauty and culture of Himachal. This is not just a love story. This is a lot more.  People will not resist themselves from visiting Himachal after watching Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba experiencing thrilling adventure sports and the exotic locations of this hill station. After spending over a year in Manali only to finalize locations, Sunny Deol has given chance to local talent. The movie is completely different from conventional movies. Nearly 80 per cent of the movie is shot in Himachal,” he said.

Being located high on the hillside, the house offers panoramic view of snow-capped mountain ranges and lower valley. I am putting all efforts to give chance to local talent, showcase local culture, traditions and tourism.”

Therefore, it came as quite a surprise that Sunny could not make it to the trailer launch of Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas this afternoon. The trailer was originally supposed to be launched on Wednesday (September 4), but the event was pushed due to heavy rains in Mumbai.

Hello Ayushi. Karan may not be available as a guide but his father Sunny paji spends many days in Manali every year and he knows the place better than Karan. Even if Sunny Deol paji couldn't afford to be your tour guide, we shall arrange for the best one for you. Good day.
