SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Kullu Manali is considered one of the safest tourist destinations of the world. The area is tourist-friendly, still you need to take care of some preparations which can make your stay even better and memorable:
– All the mobile phone networks work here. Airtel, Jio and BSNL have widest coverage. Both pre-paid and post-paid numbers work here.
– If you are coming from abroad and have no phone number, you can buy a temporary number after fulfilling legal formalities.
– Keep ready a pair of woollen (not heavy) with you as temperature may dip suddenly anytime even during summer months. Showers of rain or snowfall on peaks results in dipping of the mercury.
– If you are going to snow point and you don’t have snow dress and snow boots, you can hire them from one of the dozens of shops along Manali-Rohtang highway.
– Carrying Sun Screen lotion and sun glasses can help you avoid avoid suntanning. If coming during winter months, sunglasses are must as you will face problem even opening eyes when sun shines on snow and it reflects light.
– Don’t forget to carry photo id with you. Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License, Voter Cards are the best option. For security reasons, regular checking, police sometime ask unknown people to show their id.
– While travelling on mountains, keep drinking water and eating healthy food and fruits to avoid vomiting due to high altitude sickness and dizziness due to curby roads. Many tourists complain that they felt unwell/vomited while travelling on Himachal roads.
– Carry headache, stomachache, anti vomiting tablets with you. Keep drinking water to avoid minor high-altitude sickness.
– Kullu and Manali have many ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. But many times, mostly during long weekends, machines run out of cash. You will see long queues of customers outside all the ATMs during peak tourist season (April-June). So, carrying enough cash for use is advisable.
– Please respect the local culture of Kullu-Manali. If visiting remote villages like Malana, don’t take photos of residents and don’t touch the holy places without permission from residents. We strive to provide our customers with the quality and best possible services. Also, we seek your best cooperation as well.
Thanks and hoping for a good time in Himachal with us.
